Meal and Rest Breaks

Most employees who work at least 5 consecutive hours are entitled to receive a 30-minute lunch break free from work; likewise, most employees are supposed to receive a 10-minute rest break for every four hours of work.  If your employer has denied you the opportunity to take such breaks, or requires you to work while eating, than you may be entitled to receive an additional hour of wages for each meal and/or rest break that you were not permitted to take.
